The monograph represents an entry into the important, but not a well-researched issue in Slovakia. The authors of the individual chapters in their texts analyze the various aspects of communication and relations between generations in the present Bratislava families, putting their knowledge into a more comprehensive framework of European research. The conclusions reached are clear: generations of parents, children and grandchildren need each other. They want and must cooperate at society, community or family level, regardless of whether they live in a common household or are living separately.
