Tadeusz Jozef Makowski (1882-1932) - Polish painter active in Paris, representative of the Ecole de Paris. The album is dedicated to the work of Tadeusz Makowski, a painter, drawer and graphic artist, one of the leading representatives of Polish art of the 20th century. Inspired by folklore, he usually immortalized villagers and the surrounding nature, often taking up the subject of carnival and theater. However, Makowski became famous primarily as a portraitist of children, who, endowed with subtle features and a melancholic gaze, over time began to take on geometric shapes - triangles, cylinders and cones. This interesting combination of realism with elements of cubism and expressionism gave Makowski's work an unconventional character.
