The topic of the subject as one of the basic sentence members is one of the key ones in syntax. In recent decades, the author has researched it from several perspectives, and numerous scientific studies have been produced that shed light on many basic aspects of this basic member of the structure of a two-member sentence. We believe that the collection of these partial analyses in the form of a book synthesis may interest a wider professional public and may become useful not only in the scientific explanation of the essence and position of this sentence member in the structure of the sentence and in the syntactic system as a whole, but also in highlighting several relevant aspects of this in some way exceptional sentence member in language education - especially at the secondary school and especially at the university level.
