A novel about a marriage set partly in France and partly in Slovakia is an inventory of events, experiences, a narrative of the relationship of its protagonists from the first mutual enchantment through a series of separations and reunions to the time when both of them, in their old age, recapitulate their own lives and the bond between them. Set at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries in a world geographically and historically different from today, the prose could be both a parody and a fairy tale love story or a reflection on the nature of time. A novel about small worries and fears, big joys and small happinesses.
