Anton Olegovich Serenkov was born in 1989 in Minsk. Writer, journalist. "This is not a historical novel, but a stylization of the text that the author of the second wave of emigration could have written if he had thought to present his memories of the Second World War in the form of the popular genre of noir in the post-war period. I've read quite a lot of second-wave immigrants, and I really liked many of the books, but I don't know any purely genre novels from them, so I decided to correct the injustice. I tried to accurately convey the train of thought of such a conventional author, his speech and picture of the world. All the non–obvious uses of words in the book are quotes from Vladimir Nabokov, Irina Odoevtseva, Nina Berberova and Nadezhda Taffy of the 1930s, Leonid Rzhevsky, Boris Filippov, Nikolai Ulyanov, Gennady Andreev, Boris Shiryaev and so on."
