The publication is dedicated to a native of the city of Syktyvkar, Yuri Vyacheslavovich Popov (1973 - 2015), a graduate of the history department of Syktyvkar University, who lived a short, but rich and bright life. The book is based on the memories of his parents, work colleagues and friends, as well as letters from Yuri to his parents and short notes from more than 40 weekly notebooks of Yuri's father, which made it possible to indicate the exact dates of the most important events and facts. It uses many photographs from the family archive, as well as photographs taken by Yuri himself.
