Violence has many manifestations. The first thing that comes to mind is a physical attack, but it is not the only thing that causes irreparable consequences. Many people may suffer violence and have no idea what is really going on. Sexual, psychological, economic violence, pedagogical neglect are various manifestations of the same phenomenon that affect communication with others, education, formation of family and personal values.
The author of this book, psychotherapist Spartak Subota, is convinced that each of us must be able to recognize violence and know the algorithm of actions to prevent it in time. This book will help to understand the nature of violence, identify its types, understand the signs of violence, what to do to minimize its manifestations in life, and who to turn to for help if violence has occurred in the past. The author gives examples from personal psychotherapeutic practice, offers readers checklists, which can be used to check whether violence is present in your life or whether you are a witness to it.
