This paper is a Catalogue of 116 archaeological sites located on the northern coast of Lake Ladoga. The Preface presents the history of archaeological research, the natural conditions and some information about raw materials in this area. The territory is bound by the national border on the western coast, and by the Uuksunjoki river catchment on the eastern coast. The archaeological value of the sites varies. Over a half of them are represented by aggregations of quartz flakes from the arable layer of fields or from roads. But some sites are quite promising for archaeological research. They contain materials from the Mesolithic, Neolithic and Eneolithic periods in the region.
This book is the first paper to offer a most complete list of archaeological sites, the map of the sites, and descriptive analysis of the findings. The author has performed periodization of the sites, and discussed the problem of distinguishing Mesolithic materials from other findings in some sites in the area.
