The monograph is devoted to evolution of legal state in Yakutia: the period of passing of "Regulations on Administration of Foreigners" by famous reformer M.Speranskii (1822), formation of patrimonial administrative institutions as state legal institutions up to the 1990s, the present-day status of state system of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the period of ratification of new constitutional legislation of the Russian Federation. The work investigates historical-theoretical and legal aspects of Russian federalism and Soviet autonomy, origins and development of social and political movements for Zemstvo self-government, autonomy at the beginning of the XXth century, strengthening of the status of the autonomous republic in the 1920s - the beginning of the 1990s. The author analyzes legislative acts concerning legal regulation of interrelations between the center and Yakutia, gives analysis of modern conditions of legal status of the Sakha Republic and prospects of its development as a part of the Russian Federation.
