The monograph is devoted to the relations of State and church in Russia in the first half of the XIXth century. The research touches upon the issues of policy of two emperors, Alexander I and Nikolai I, in regard to the Russian Orthodox Church; activities of Holy Synod, its relations with higher state establishments, record keeping, genesis of organization.
