This book is devoted to Staritsky Uspensky Monastery, the ensemble of which is considered to be a most significant architectural building of the Tver Oblast. The monastery was built in ancient times and restored in the 1\3 of the XVI century. By the first half of the XX century it became a real decoration and proud of Staritsa. The monastery was patronized by different tsars; one of the most famous is Ivan Grozny (Ivan the Terrible).
