The oldest flags in Latvia are stored in the Riga History and Shipping Museum. The flag collection of the complex includes 400 items, not including flag accessories, and chronologically it covers five centuries - from the 17th century Riga guard flags to our days. Anita Gailisa is a representative of the little-known branch of flag research in Latvia - vexillology - and a specialist in the collection of the Riga History and Shipping Museum.
