Dmytro Dontsov was the first Ukrainian political thinker and ideologist who launched a comprehensive critique of the Russian civilization and mentality as global threats to Ukraine and Europe. His publications before the First World War on this topic pushed Ukrainians to reconsider the 200-year union of the two Orthodox nations and to reveal the true reasons for the deep differences between them.
The collection consists of the author's main works on Russian subjects, mainly from the first period of his work, the 1910s - the 1930s, when he managed to explain the most obvious signs of the Russian imperialism, culture and mentality. Studio "Spirit of Russia", although it was published in 1961 in German, nevertheless fully conveys the conceptualism of D. Dontsov's early performances.
