The collection presented to the reader's attention includes the materials of the International Scholarly and Practical Conference “The Soviet Union in Afghanistan”, held in Perm in February 2019 and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
The archive-source section of the collection contains documents stored in the Perm State Archive of Socio-Political History and covering various aspects of the stay of Soviet military personnel and civilian specialists in Afghanistan from 1979-1989.
