"The book" Soviet Tungusia "is the first work in a series of political and economic essays on the northern national republics and districts of the USSR. The purpose of these publications is to provide, in coordination with the central and local authorities, work on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of natural-productive forces national districts of the North and determine the ways of their further development ".
The publication includes a historical background, detailed articles describing the natural conditions and natural resources, the administrative structure of the district, the population and its main activities, and other sectors of the national economy. This is a reprint of the book "Soviet Tungusia" (authors A.P. Kurilovich and N.P. Naumov) published in 1934. The pre-war edition, which is kept in the museum's funds, belonged to the first secretary of the district committee of the party, Vasily Nikolaevich Uvachan. From glued, re-glued, worn-out pages belted with adhesive tape, it was possible to preserve the entire text. In addition, the reprinted edition has been given the appearance of an old book with the help of typographic and design technologies.
