Raphail Ganelin (born in 1926) has been working at Saint-Petersburg Institute of History since 1955. The sphere of his activities embraces domestic politics, public movement in Russia and international relations at the end of the XIXth century – beginning of the XXth century. R. Ganelin took part in team work and publications of Leningrad and Moscow historians. His memories are devoted to life, work, way of thinking of the humanities representatives in the USSR.
