The study explores how the current international situation has impacted the sovereignty of individual countries, particularly Bulgaria. What is the relationship between sovereignty and security? What is the fate of small countries? Will Bulgaria survive in our complex and difficult times? Can a small nation ensure its own national security nowadays? These are some of the questions discussed in the study. The author uses three types of methods: general scientific methods (historical, sociological, etc.), logical techniques (analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, etc.), and managerial and juristic approaches.
