In addition to poetry, Henrik Visnapuu published quite a lot of pieces and reviews about literature and social life. The first half of his collection of articles contains writings about Estonian authors on their jubilee days - a great deed is the whole life of a free person, because the measure of a free person is and remains his word and deed. The second part of the book is more focused on words - the author observes and measures the individual works of his twenty contemporaries, paying special attention to the forms and poetics of the songs.
