A story about the extremely gloomy, but at the same time heroic history of our country. In 1944 after the start of the second Soviet occupation, tens of thousands of patriotic Lithuanian residents - men and women - went to the forests to fight against the red invaders and their local henchmen. These brave underground soldiers, also called forest brothers or partisans, fought even in desperate conditions full of idealism, sacrifice and the brightest hopes for the future of the Motherland.
