The monograph is devoted to issues of historical, synchronous and applied sociolinguistics. The authors include representatives of various scientific centers. The work introduces the formation of a new scientific and methodological tradition associated with the development of sociolinguistic research at Ivan Franko Lviv National University. The issues of the sections highlight the theoretical results of the research group, which over the past fifteen years has introduced 10 new sociolinguistics disciplines into the curricula of the philological faculty of the university, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, today as a basic university for the study of sociolinguistics.
