This monograph represents a complex analysis of the socio-political lexis (SPL) in the Kabardino-Cherkess (East Circassian) language. The work establishes a clear definition of the notion, expresses the basic sources of its creation and formation, and presents a logically-based classification of socio-political terms. The author has given special attention to the problem of orthography in relation to loanwords, which comprise a considerable portion of SPL, suggesting concrete steps towards the removal of present orthographical inconsistencies.
