The monograph is devoted to the history and socio-cultural dynamics in the Chechen society under the armed conflict conditions and is based on more than 100 interviews. The events participants - politicians, Chechen soldiers, refugees and people of different groups of population - were questioned. The culture, various historical issues, family relationship, nationalism and separatism ideology formation, violence escalation, political regime in the country are reflected in the book.
