The analytical report systematizes the trends in social and labor processes occurring in Russia and the Vologda region. Based on official statistics, conclusions are drawn about the dynamics of development of the sphere of labor and employment. The results of many years of research into the quality of working life of the population conducted by the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences are shown, and priority regional policy measures aimed at overcoming the identified problems are outlined.
