The volume presents Ilins early works published for the first time, his diary of 1905 and epistolary heritage covering the spell of 1903-1938: collections of letters to his relatives, to Gurevich, Struve and other employees of the newspaper Vozrozhdenie, to Vrangel, Rakhmaninov and others. They are supplemented with the documents shining a blazing light on numerous unknown facts of the philosophers life: the evidence from FSS RF archives clearing the circumstances of six arrests for his counter-revolutionary activity; papers from German archives testifying the grounds for Ilins dismissal from Russian Science Institute in Berlin and showing authorities hostility.
