Materials of the unique subterranean burial ground, explored and studied by the author in the Trans-Volga Steppe. On the basis of the analysis of ritual burial features and real inventory the author attempts to recreate the model of the formation of steppe option carcass archaeological culture of the Volga-Ural interfluve. Smelovsky burial ground is one of the brightest fragments of a complex multidimensional process of cultural genesis in the steppes of Eurasia in the beginning of the Late Bronze Age.
