The present article contains the results of research of a small country town of Davlekanovo, one of the regional centers in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The research is based on statistical material received in the local mayoralty, published literature and interviews with representatives of city administration, employees of local museums, leaders of religious communities, locals of different age and social groups.
