Kuban' is the area at the Northern Caucasus with the river of the same name flowing to the Sea of Azov (the northern arm of the Black Sea between Russia and Ukraine). The monograph shed light upon history of Siraks - tribes who settled the territory of Kuban. Basing extensive archeological material and written sources the author localizes the Siraks in Kuban steppes since the end of the IVth century BC till the middle of the 1st century AD. Complicated ethnical processes such as formation of new multiethnic community (Sirac, Sarmat and Meot) by the 1st century AD are traced.
