Ukrainian writer, archaeologist and theater actress Natalena Koroleva (1888-1966) is the author of works on biblical, mythological and historical themes.
The publication includes both the works of N. Korolyova, published in various periodicals, and her unknown works. Favorite for the artist themes of the Orient (East) contain fairy tales, legends and short stories "Ghost", "Incense", "Youth Island", "Loss"; the life of the first Christians is depicted in the stories "Meeting" and "His Call"; full of autobiographical memories "Chrysolite", "Gypsy Easter", "Lermontov's House", "Silhouette". The last works of the writer - "Pompeian Mention", "Prefect's Maid" and "Roksoliana" - are published for the first time and present her artistic preferences over the years.
