The conference was dated for the time of the peak of revolutionary events in Tomsk - the General Strike and appearance of the first Constitutional Document in Russia - the October Manifesto of 1917 as well as for the following Black-Hundredist pogrom on October 20-21. The conference participants canvassed the new interpretations of revolutionary events, psychology of the masses in the period of the XXth-century social transformations and a great many other related questions.
