Zobnin Philip Kozmich (1868-1930), originally from the village Ust-Nitsynskoe (70 km from Tyumen), an associate of the Siberian scientist G.N. Potanin - was a full member of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society. He conducted ethnographic observations in the Tobolsk province, and also collected and summarized local history information.
