The book depicts Agdam, one of the best known cities in Karabakh lowlands. The cradle of many prominent people of Azerbaijan, it was occupied by Armenia in 1993. Although Agdam was not affected directly by bombardments or combats, the city was systematically destroyed by the Armenian forces. The mosque was the only building to survive, although covered with graffiti.
