This collection of short stories by Bulgarian author Daniel Vulchev consists of two parts. The first part includes a new cycle of eight stories which have not been published before. The cycle is called "The Eighth Day of the Week". The eighth day of the week is a feeling. It is our need - and our ability - to break away from the flow of the calendar and spend time on our own, with our thoughts and experiences. Each of these eight new stories was conceived and born "on the eighth day of the week". The second part of the book is an earlier cycle of short stories, collectively called "Eight and a Half," which have been published before. The author Daniel Vulchev is a law professor at Sofia University.
