Based on archival documents, war memoirs, memories and analysis of research by foreign historians, the book raises the topic of intimacy during the German-Soviet war, which was previously silenced, shameful, and almost not studied in Ukrainian historiography. Sex life in extreme conditions is still not discussed as a self-sufficient problem, because sex on the front somehow does not correlate well with such categories as self-sacrifice, heroism or loyalty. But the author, departing from established research canons, tried to reveal this little-known page of history as fully as possible.
