The photographic publication "Seven Centuries in Brno" will be published in 2023 to mark the 700th anniversary of the founding of the monastery and the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Old Brno. The book commemorates the importance of the monastery and its personalities within Europe and in some cases, such as Gregor Mendel or Leos Janacek, also in a global context. The text of the book provides basic information about the history of the monastery and the basilica set in the context of the development of Czech statehood. 71 contemporary photographs form the bulk of the book; these artistically conceived photographs not only provide visual information about the current state, but also convey to the reader the beauty that has been invested in the basilica throughout its development.
