Kaja Terzan, born in 1986, grew up in Skofja Loka and Stockholm, Sweden. She switched from studying art history and sociology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana to contemporary dance performance practices. After giving birth to her child, she started working in a kindergarten and on a farm. In 2015, her debut poetry book Delta was published and was nominated for the Veronika Award. In the same year, the poet entered the international biennial of young artists Mediterranea in Milan with her performance Delta, based on poems from the collection of the same name. She has participated in numerous readings in Slovenia and abroad with her poetry, and has participated in literary projects in Berlin, Vienna, Granada and Costa Rica. In 2018, her second poetry collection Krog was published, which was successful with a nomination for the Kritisko sito award and received the Jenko Award. In 2021, the poet published her third collection of poems, Nekoc bom imela cas. Reckoning is her first prose work.
