The Jewish youth agricultural community "Ikor", named in honor of the American organization for the help of Jewish land management in the USSR, appeared on the territory of the future Jewish autonomous region in the spring of 1928. It was created by 12 dedicated guys, graduates of the Kurasovshchinsky Agricultural School (Belarus). In 1931 it was joined by the Jews, who had come mainly from abroad to build the socialist town of the commune. The first edition of the book was in 2018 in Birobidzhan.
