The book by Dr. Milan Micic has a list of names of volunteers of the Serbian army in the First World War who were born in Banat, Backa and Baranja. As part of the First Serbian Volunteer Division during the battles it fought in the war of 1916 on the front in Dobruja, more than a third of the volunteers were from this area. The situation was similar just before the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki front, where they made up almost a quarter of the total number of volunteers in the Serbian army.
