The book is dedicated to a man who may rightfully be called one of the pioneers of the Don publishing industry — Seraphim Khristoforovich Arutyunov (1848–1911). In 1891, he founded a major regional newspaper that was read not only throughout the Don region, but also across southern Russia and in the capitals — St. Petersburg and Moscow.
