Volume 1 of the selected works by Boris Andronikashvili (1936-1996) includes poems and stories which he did not have time to publish inter vivos. Most of them are dedicated to his native Georgia, its diverse and original people. Volume 2 includes the novels already known to readers, such as “Don Alonso”, “The Captains”, “Saturday, Sunday” as well as the stories dedicated mainly to Georgia and his favorite city of Batumi, where the writer spent his young years and which brought him lots of recollections. The author speaks in a charming, warm and slightly ironic way about love, youth, friendship, dreams and aspirations without which life is poor and incomplete.
