Valdis Eglitis is one of the most outstanding Latvian cinematographers - he has produced 8 feature films, including such masterpieces of cinematography “Meeting on the Milky Way” (1985), “Suite Man” (1987), “Life” (1989), and “Buris” (1993), as well as more than 30 documentaries and about 100 movie chronicles. The author is also known as a photographer, prose writer and painter. He has been a lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture since 1993, developing the ability of aspiring film professionals to see the world and teach it to others.
