In Serbia, archaeologists and historians have found traces of knightly culture and knights of the Templars in many locations. Several of the Serbian rulers were Templars and Zions. Stefan Nemanja is the founder of the Order of Saint Stephen, who was the covenant of all later Nemanjics and all the rulers of this lineage were in it. Stefan Nemanja was the founder and Brotherhood of St. George, in 1171, whose organization and way of life of its members bore a resemblance to the Order of the Templars.
