This book tells the story of foundation and development of the third among Soviet republics Academy of Science (the first was founded in Belarus and the second - in the Ukraine). The book contains a wide range of rare historical documents, data and memoirs as well as the complete nominal list of teaching staff from the moment of Academy foundation up to the present time. The monograph also contains the photographs commemorating the most eminent professors and academics as well as diagrams and schemes on different topics.
