Supported by the insufficiently studied materials the book acquaints the reader with the history of one of Russian monasteries that was founded in the end of the XIVth century and played an important role in the history of the Zvenigorod Region - Savvin Storozhevsk Monastery. The cloister was in the good graces by appanage princes and then by Moscow tsar's court and in a short term became the owner of a big patrimonial estate with lands situated on the territories of a great number of districts in Russia.
