These are historical and art sketches about orthodox temples, which were erected in honor of Russia’s victories in memory of the perished in wars, including those monuments, which were destroyed in the soviet age. Apart from the published sources, the authors used archive materials, including old photos and hand-written designs. Separate chapters contain information on the history of each temple, history of its construction, development stages of its outside and inside decoration, a list of paintings and icons.
