The collection publishes documents from the National Archives of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) related to the activities of Saint Innocent (Veniaminov), including those introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. Metropolitan Innocent (Ivan Evseevich Popov-Veniaminov 1797-1879) was bishop of the Orthodox Russian Church; from January 5, 1868, Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna. The first Orthodox bishop of Kamchatka, Yakutia, the Amur region and North America, associate of the Governor-General of Eastern Siberia Count Nikolai Muravyov-Amursky in the development of the Far East and the education of its indigenous peoples.
