The collection presents the history of the Ryazan Museum during the period of its formation under the new government. The materials were prepared by a museum employee, the author of popular books on the history of Ryazan, D. D. Solodovnikov, back in the 1930s; the manuscripts were stored in the scientific archives of the Ryazan Historical and Architectural museum-reserve and were published only almost a century later. The book is based on archival materials.
