The issue contains some of the papers presented at the workshop "EU and Russia: Two Subjects in Transformation" (Danish Institute for International Studies, November, 2004). The authors' intention was to discuss the responses to regional diversity as seen from the areas of the EU-Russia "direct-touch", or "juncture points" - one of the most important elements of Russia's integration with Europe through trans-border cooperation.
