The first book of the dilogy about the fate of the prominent Russian teacher Yulia Andrusova-Fausek and her family was compiled on the basis of unpublished manuscripts, archival materials and publications of 1900-1920-ies. The first part of the book reflects the heroine’s life - childhood, education at school and at the Bestuzhev courses, work, meetings and friendships with prominent members of the national scientific and artistic intelligentsia. The second part is a historically accurate description of the titanic efforts of Y. Fausek on formation and development of the Montessori method of scientific pedagogy in Russia in 1913-1942.
