This vividly illustrated album acquaints the readers with the Neoclassical style in Russian architecture in the early XXth century. Unique photos are provided with commentaries of art critics and the analysis of that period. At that period Russian architects referred to the Renaissance style derived from Italy and the Russian Classical style. A number of articles are devoted to particular descriptions of buildings and pieces of art performed in the mentioned style. The album contains a catalogue of the architectural masterpieces of Moscow and St.Petersburg.
