Folder with a selection of designer illustrations on the topic: “Ural factory dams. Drawings of the XVIII-first half of the XIX centuries.
We have selected forty images of old factory dams with ponds, which still remain a very noticeable and recognizable part of the Ural landscape, are a kind of hallmark of the Urals. A similar number of old industrial dams have not been preserved in any other region of the world.
Almost all surviving, as well as lost dams were built in the XVIII - 1st half. 19th century (before the era of widespread introduction of steam engines). Technical drawings of that era are made in an artistic style and are essentially a work of art.
